Hello, MantaChasm! I’ve been SO scarce lately, and part of that is due to the YouTube channel going live! Now I know what you’re thinking: “wait, you said you posted videos a month ago,” and you’re right! What I mean is, I have now posted eight videos and am making a serious effort to record on Thursday evening and post by Friday morning. I don’t know if it’s that important but I like the structure and I have to say, it’s kind of fun having a “video deadline” to stick to.
And on the note of YouTube I just want to make a quick shout-out to my FOUR subscribers! Talk about a surprise, I never would have guessed there would be four people who would care to see me play a game. To be honest, I thought I’d put a video or two up, have no views, put a few more up, have no views, and just continue that way until I fizzled out. But now… now I have four reasons to continue making videos and to expand the offering! Space Engineers is fun, and it’s even more fun when you add someone else to play with (which I hope will happen soon) but it’s just the beginning. Other games would be interesting to post, but also reviews like I’ve done here; I mentioned on the channel that I had a new figurine come in recently and I wouldn’t mind doing a review on that. PC hardware, computers in general, maybe even help topics (as I do corporate IT) would be fun additions, so I guess we’ll have to try a few and see what sticks. Either way, I’m excited to continue on this journey and I hope any readers here and my FOUR subscribers on YouTube will be excited along with me.
Another side note, though: Baby MantaRei could be here any minute, and my wife and I are eagerly awaiting his delivery. The doctor says he’s ready, it’s just up to him to start making his way out to us. SO EXCITING! But with that excitement comes the realization that as much fun as all of this is (the website, the YouTube channel) my family comes first, and when I’m needed there all of this comes second. So, if you miss a video coming out on a Friday no need to worry, just know that my family is being well taken care of and I’ll get one out as soon as I can.
And one more update: my new PC is almost complete. With it, I hope to bring even better content to all of you and if everything goes as planned I will be shutting down my existing PC after recording on Thursday and migrating to the new one over the weekend (I just need a temporary PSU to arrive for the old PC since the current one was bought for the new PC… trust me, it makes sense). This will be my first rebuild in 10 years, and I hope the new one will last me just as long, if not longer. There’s definitely no lack of space for upgrades in Thermaltake’s “The Tower 900″… I will most definitely be posting pictures, either in a final summary post or a few update posts, I’m not sure yet. I’m leaning towards the summary as the PC is basically done, but we’ll see.
That’s about all that I have for now, be sure to stay tuned for new videos on the channel and new posts here! I’m getting the itch to start the PC build post so you’ll probably see that sooner than later. And again, thank you all for hanging out these past months, it really means a lot to me. And to my FOUR subscribers, thank you so much. You don’t know how excited I was to learn I had so many, and to get my very first comment on a video (thank you Heavy Plastic)! You can be sure I’ll keep improving my home setup and talking-while-playing skills to keep you all entertained. Here’s to you all, and I’ll see you next time!
