Mantachasm.online Is Now Live!!

Hello, MantaChasm! Just a quick update: I was able to get my paid WordPress live and link the appropriate domain! As of yesterday you can now navigate to mantachasm.online to get to this lovely site! Thank you, thank you! It will soon be the primary domain, so please use it rather than the wordpress.com address.

And now I just have something I wanted to get off my chest. I’m not one to be political or get involved in the news. In fact, I’ve tried very hard to train the Google to never show me political or “current-affairs” news: I’m not interested and any of the times that I’ve seen the news lately it’s very depressing. Today was one of those times.

I don’t care who you are, but if your parents or grandparents or children or even you have served your country in the armed forces I salute you. You have done an invaluable service for your people and the state, and that’s worth applauding. Sometimes those in power go astray and the nation drifts into the “villainous” realm, but those who fight for their nation because they are serving are not at fault. And that applies to the present, the past and the future (I’d assume–can’t be sure on that last one). Every soldier was someone’s brother, sister, son, daughter, father, mother, uncle, nephew, grandparent, etc., etc., and they fought for their country whether they believed in the cause or not, through circumstances most of us cannot even imagine nor could survive if we were suddenly thrown into the same situation. In the past the prevailing side usually removed all traces of the losers, establishing their dominance and justifying their victory, however in more modern times we have the ability to look back into history and examine those conflicts to study and understand both sides. And in some cases, the notion that even though they lost they were still soldiers fighting for their nation is understood, and proper respect can be rendered in a dignified manner. Sometimes this is expressed in literature, sometimes in song, and sometimes in imagery whether it be 2-D or 3-D. Unfortunately there are some in even First World Countries today that don’t grasp these concepts, and the idea of respecting those that came before is lost on them. They allow themselves to get swept up in mob mentality and act out in a childish fashion, rather than use their brains to think through their actions and understand the incredible amount of disrespect they are spewing under the guise of “tolerance” and “justice”.

I’m not saying that I agree with the reasons that every side had for every conflict that ever was, however I am saying that some of the greatest works of art came out of the most aggressive and morally reprehensible nations on Earth’s history, and if we were to tear down every monument from every group of people that we didn’t agree with the world would have a lot more rubble and melted slag. Not to mention the amount of history we would’ve lost in the process.
