The Chasm

Hello, MantaChasm! Seems fitting to me that the second post here should be a little bit about myself, because who doesn’t love hearing about faceless people on the internet? And if I’m going to be spending some time here we should probably get to know each other a bit.

Well, where to start? I’m an almost-30-year-old IT guy, (Systems & Network Administrator to those in the biz) with a beautiful family that’s about to get a little bigger (we have a youngling due in the next few months). I’m married to the most fantastic woman there is and we have four energetic animals: two female dogs and two male cats. I have various interests including computers and various technology, history, Anime, space, biology, and so many other things that I probably couldn’t come up with a good, comprehensive list even if I tried. I’m not a big fan of current pop music but I do enjoy classical, electro-swing, and most other music produced before the millennium. Except for Anime intro/outro music; I do enjoy a lot of those…

What else…? I go to Church every Sunday and Wednesday night, I work weekdays from 8-5:30 or so, and I spend most evenings happily hanging out with my wife. What time I have to spend on myself is usually filled with video games, tweaking my computers, and watching videos from my favorite streamers, also mostly about video games and medieval concepts (thank you, Shadiversity). Streaming intrigues me, but just as this site is groundbreaking for me I feel the same about a YouTube presence: what would I produce and would it be of any value to anyone? I don’t know, but maybe this whole website thing might open some doors.

In conclusion, I like to draw though I’m not exceptional at it, and the same goes for my writing. I collect anime figures, use Razer computer peripherals, and have a great desire to taste the coffee that grows on the island of St. Helena. So until next time, peace out.
